Terms of Use

The rules for using Chasing Salt and Chasing Salt Premium.

Your use of Chasing Salt is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), together with the additional terms below. If anything here conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls.

Not medical advice

Chasing Salt is a personal tracking and journaling tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. Insights, correlations, pressure alerts and reports are informational, are based on the data available to the app, and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your symptoms and before starting, stopping or changing any treatment, medication, diet, fluid or salt intake, or exercise. Don't ignore professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you saw in the app. If you think you're having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number right away.

Weather and alerts

Barometric pressure, temperature and humidity come from Apple Weather and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Alerts depend on your device's settings, location permissions, network connection and background activity, and may not be delivered. Don't rely on Chasing Salt as your only source of information for health or safety decisions.

Chasing Salt Premium

  • Chasing Salt Premium is an auto-renewing annual subscription that unlocks symptom tracking, goal management, weather-based alerts and insight reports.
  • New subscribers may be offered a free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your Apple Account is charged the annual price shown in the App Store at that time.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your data

You own the information you enter. It's stored on your device as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for keeping your device and backups secure. We can't recover data that's lost when you delete the app or lose a device without a backup.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or use it in a way that breaks the law or the App Store's rules.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll post the new version here with an updated date. If you keep using Chasing Salt after a change, the updated terms apply.
